Engine oil quality levels (API uses the quality grade standard)

Oil quality grade API using the label is for the United States Petroleum Institute (API), the United States society of automotive engineers (SAE) and the United States society for testing and materials (ASTM) developed by the joint research, according to engine oil performance and usage scenarios of different quality grades of diesel engine oils include: CA, and CB, CC, CD, CE, CF, CI, CH etc level. Where: C-diesel engines with engine oil (as opposed to gasoline engines with engine oil s), letter back higher the quality grade of motor oil, the more suitable for heavy duty diesel engines. Different levels (label) as shown in the use of oil as shown in table 2.

Table 2APIC series diesel engine oil quality marks

Could see from table 2, quality grades later, performance better, for use more demanding working conditions, performance better protection of friction pair of diesel engine it.

Diesel engine oil series from CA, CB-level development to current CE, CF, CI, CH level, reflecting the hardened process performance improvement of automotive diesel engine.
